Currently all our appointments are private in-home services. Appointments are available in Nassau County, Suffolk County and Eastern Queens.

How do I make an appointment? TOP
To make an appointment call 516-522-0337. Most breastfeeding consultations are available within 1 to 2 days of your call. Classes are recommended in your third trimester of pregnancy and any time thereafter.
Are your services covered by insurance? TOP
Simply Motherhood, Inc. is a breastfeeding medicine private practice which offers evidenced-based interventions to manage common medical problems that may interfere with breastfeeding. These services are and have always been covered by insurance when provided by a physician or nurse practitioner. At this time, however, Simply Motherhood, Inc. is not accepting insurance. We are currently a fee-for-service at time of service practice. A fee schedule is available on request.
This practice does not do billing for reimbursement and is not a provider on any insurance plan at this time. Call your insurance company to see if you have out-of-network coverage for Nurse Practitioner services. We cannot guarantee reimbursement.
At the end of the visit, you will be provided with a Lactation Visit Receipt and instructions for filing a third party insurance reimbursement claim, which is strongly encouraged.
Classes are not typically covered by insurance companies, however, we recommend that you call your specific carrier. Flexible Spending Plans are an option, again we encourage you to contact them for specifics on coverage.

What is an IBCLC? TOP
An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is a health
care professional who specializes in the clinical management of
breastfeeding. IBCLCs are certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, Inc. (www.iblce.org) under the direction of the U.S. National Commission for Certifying Agencies. IBCLCs work in a wide variety of health care settings, including hospitals, pediatric offices, public health clinics, and private practice.
